~ Silver Albert Watch Chain ~
A nice single Albert watch chain in solid silver.
The piece is made of long ‘figure of eight’ links and small oval links, running alternately the length of the chain.
It has a T-bar to one end and a clasp to the other.
The piece has hallmarks to the links, T-bar and clasp but most are too worn to read. However, the Lion standard mark for silver can be seen on several
of the links so this piece is clearly of silver.
~ Dimensions ~
The chain has a length of 27cm (10 ½ inches).
It weighs 24.1g.
~ Condition ~
The chain has had some use over time so has a little wear in parts and has some damage to the end link and the base of the clasp. These things could
probably do with repair, but it should be quite a simple job for an experienced jeweller. The chain is still strong and sturdy despite these things and
overall is in quite a good condition considering its age and that it’s been well loved and used.
