Description

Here we have a rare and not often seen piece, the leaders dagger for the German Red Cross. These daggers are far less common than the Red Cross hewers carried by regular members of the German Red Cross.

The daggers bear the same insignia as the hewers and the belt buckles of the German red cross with a very small crossguard and a cellulose plastic grip, the scabbard is steel with the signature German dimpling. This example has the rare addition of its knot too.

The dagger is plated and has some wear to the plate where it has been worn.

I can’t see any makers mark on the blade.

~ Dimensions ~

The dagger is 14 inches (36 cm) long.

The blade is 10 inches (25 cm) long.

The dagger weighs 550g.

~ Condition ~

The dagger is in near mint condition with just some wear to the plating and some wear to the knot.

ref. GS850220C / MLABDO
