A Doulton Lambeth mug dated 1901.

The jug has a single handle and a bulbous spout bearing the initials ‘JA’.

It has a mottled green glaze with brown edging decorated with simple flowers.

The jug bears the ‘Doulton Lambeth England’ stamp and pattern no. ‘235’ to the underside and has been inscribed ‘xmas 1901’. The potters initials are 'AW' for Ada L. Worthy. Given the 'JA' initials and inscribed date, most unusual, it is most likely to be have been made as a private present from Ada.

The jug has a diameter of 10cm (4 inches) and a height of 10cm (4 inches)

It measures 16.5cm (6 ½ inches) from handle to spout and weighs 554g

The jug is in a very nice condition with no damages.
