Frank Wesson Single Shot Brass Framed Pocket Pistol .22 caliber, 3.5" round to octagonal barrel, with walnut grips. Serial number 2003. This is the 2nd Type made by Wesson, covered under his 1862 patent. Two line address on barrel identifies it as Type 2, "Frank Wesson, Worcester, Mass, Pat'd Oct. 25. 1859 & Nov. 11, 1862." (Type 1 marked F. Wesson/Patented Oct. 25, 1859)

Frank Wesson Small Frame Single Shot pistols were made c.1859-1880, reports suggest that only 2000 were made in total. Barrels tip up at breech to load by pulling rearward on the projecting lever on underside of frame.

*Condition*

This is a very dainty little pistol in good condition though the trigger is loose, there are minor scratches and marks commensurate with age. Fully deactivated. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
