~ W.L. Wyllie Etching Of A Stranded Derelict Ship In An Estuary ~
A charming etching by this pre-eminent Victorian maritime artist. It depicts a moored ship, in a state of disrepair, with a hulk and other vessels in the background. It is signed by the artist to the lower left and to the reverse is a Robert Dunthorne label, who was Wyllie’s main dealer with the etchings details.
It is presented in a period wooden and glazed frame with a single mount.
~ Condition ~
The etching has a couple of tiny foxing spots and very light oxidisation of the paper.
The frame has a little wear.

The frame measures 64 cm (25 inches) wide by 48 cm (19 inches) tall.
The actual image of the etching is 35 cm (14 inches) wide by 23 cm (9 inches) tall.
