Description

This commemorative dagger is well presented in a dark red box. The reverse of the lid is embossed on the lid in gold with ‘Wilkinson Sword’ and the crossed swords. The base of the box is a red velvet base with an imprint for the dagger.

The blade is coloured blue with etched golden gilt decoration. The ricasso has the ‘Wilkinson Sword’ crossed swords and Crown, with roses growing and the words “In Celebration of the Ruby Jubilee Of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 1952 – 1992” to one side. The reverse has similar growing roses and the Queens crown between the number “40”.

The crossguard and the pommel are made from gilt brass. The grip is ivory coloured.

~ Dimensions ~

The case has a width of 17.5 inches (44.5 cm), a depth of 5 inches (12.7 cm) & a height of 1.5 inches (3.8cm).

The blade has a length of 10.5 inches (26.7 cm), the sword measuring 16 inches (40.6 cm).

The set weighs 965 g.

~ Condition ~

Both the dagger & the case are in excellent condition.
