A lovely quality signed etching by the noted maritime artist William Lionel Wyllie (1851–1931).

The etching depicts various sailing boats off the coast possibly Portsmouth harbour with Gosport in the background.

The piece is signed in pencil by the artist to the bottom left hand corner just below the image.

The piece has been mounted and is presented in a glazed frame.

The frame measures 49cm (19 ¼ inches) by 32cm (12 ½ inches).

William Lionel Wyllie (5 July 1851 – 6 April 1931) was a prolific English painter of maritime themes. He has been described as ‘The most distinguished marine artist of his day’.
