~ William Moorcroft Anenome Pattern Bowl 1928-1949 ~
A charming William Moorcroft Bowl in the ‘Anenome’ pattern.
The bowl has tube lined decoration of anemone flowers in pinks, purples and yellow on a green ground.
The pattern is repeated to the inside of the bowl but with just a single flower.
The green ground darkens towards the foot of the bowl.
The base of the bowl has the impressed William Moorcroft signature along with ‘Potter to H.M. The Queen, Made in England’ and has the hand written signature initials of William Moorcroft in cobalt blue ink. This combination dates the piece to between 1928 and 1949.
~ Dimensions ~
The bowl has a diameter of 6 ¼ inches (16cm) and a depth/height of 3 inches (7.5cm).
It weighs 430g.
~ Condition ~
The bowl has some light scratches and a little crazing to the glaze from age and wear but overall the bowl is in a very nice condition with no damage.
