~ WW1 1915 Derby Scheme Attested Army Armband ~

A Fisrt World War Derby Scheme armband.

The armband was given to those men who attested for the army during 1915 before conscription became law in 1916.

The khaki armband features a red felt crown to the front and buttonholes to the reverse.

The armband is stamped inside but the stamp is difficult to read.

~ Dimensions ~

The armband has a width of 9cm (3 ½ inches) and a length of 44.5cm (17 ½ inches).

~ Condition ~

There are a couple of tiny areas of wear (maybe moth damage) to the crown motif and near the buttonholes, but overall the piece is in very good condition. It does not have its buttons.
