~ WW1 First Pattern Raw Edge Private Purchase Brodie Helmet To The Leicester Regiment ~
The raw edge helmet is finished in dark green and bears the Leicester regiment emblem of a red lion over a white rectangle.
It comes complete with its original liner and chinstrap.
It is named to L. Sawyer under the rim.
~ Condition ~
The shell has general paint loss, a small tear to the edge rim on one side and a couple of dents to the top. The chinstrap is complete and still supple. The liner is worn and frayed in places but is mostly complete.
~ Dimensions ~
The helmet measures 31 cm (12.25 inches) fore to aft and is 29.5 cm (11.5 inches) across.
