WW1 Inert Italian BPD Grenade

An inert First World War Italian BPD grenade.

The grenade has a cylindrical cast body with a screw top which
held the delay and black powder which is then topped with a
small brass fuse cover.

It is empty and inert.

~ Dimensions ~

The grenade has a diameter of 5.5cm (2 ¼ inches) and a length
of 12cm (4 ¾ inches).

It weighs 1.05 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The grenade has pitting and the odd minor damage consistent
with an item that was most likely discovered in the ground.

The screw threads are fine and the piece can be split into three
separate parts.
