~ WW1 Rita Crested China Model Of Mons Meg Cannon – Edinburgh Castle ~
A fine white, china model of a Mons Meg cannon, with crest and gilt detailing.
To the back of the cannon is a crest for ‘The Ancient Port of Minehead’.
To the top of the cannon is the inscription ‘Model of Mons Meg, Edinburgh Castle’
To the base is the stamp for ‘Rita china series, L&L, W.S.Hare’.
~ Dimensions ~
The piece measures 5 ¼ inches (13.25cm) long, 1 ½ inches (4cm) wide and 2 ¼ inches (5.75cm) high. It weighs 74g.
~ Condition ~
The piece is in good condition with just a small hairline crack to the top which looks to be a firing crack. The gilding has some wear.
