The skull has a dark olive drab colour and a sand finish to provide anti-glare.

To the fore is a black circle, the symbol for the USA 33rd Infantry Division.

It is stamped 'ZE57' to the rim.

The helmet measures 31cm (17.75 inches) fore to aft.
