~ WW2 British Infants Gas Mask ~

The gas mask is dated 1939. The government feared that Nazi Germany might attack with poisonous gas bombs. Babies had special respirators like this one. When all the flaps were folded in place and the straps fastened the baby was totally enclosed. Filtered air was then pumped in by hand.

~ Condition ~

The gas mask is in very good order. Although there is slight wear, this is consistent with items of this age.

~ Dimensions ~

The length of the Gas Mask is 50.5 cm, the width is 33 cm and it weighs 2.9kg.
