This is a helmet of the Ordnungspolizei (translated as Order Police) which encompassed the Police combat units as well as all regular Polizei units like Traffic police and criminal police. On top of that a lot of so-called civil service units were also absorbed by the Ordnungspolizei like the Feuerwehr and Luftschutzpolizei. Our example was probably used by the last defenders of the Reich.

Our example has been re-lined but the shell and paint are original.

Judging by the camouflage colour of the helmet there is a great probability that this was pulled out of storage and used during the last days of the Third Reich.
