~ WW2 Presentation Ladies Silver Compact ~
A beautiful Solid Silver Compact which was presented to J.B. Chatterton for her efforts in the Second World War.
The compact is of square form with an engraved pattern of horizontal lines with vertical lines at either end. The pattern is repeated to the reverse.
The compact has the usual mirror and on the inside and is complete with original make up sponge and holder.
The compact is engraved to the inside with ‘Presented To J.B.Chatterton in Appreciation of Her Efforts on Behalf of WARINGS During The World War,
1939-1945’.
It is hallmarked for London silver, 1944 with the makers mark of ‘MW&CoLtd’ and is stamped ‘Made in England’. The compact is hallmarked to both
halves.
The compact comes in a suedette carry case.

The compact measures 7cm (2 ¾ inches) by 6.3cm (2 ½ inches).
It weighs 98.4g.

The compact is in very nice condition with only light wear from use.
