~ 1930’s Clarice Cliff Royal Staffordshire The Biarritz Taormina Pattern Plate ~
A lovely early 1930’s Royal Staffordshire, Clarice Cliff dish in the ‘Taormina’ pattern from the Biarritz range.
The dish is of rectangular form with a circular centre.
It is hand painted with trees and flowers in browns, oranges and yellows with birds on a cliff top.
The dish is back-stamped with the ‘Clarice Cliff Wilkinson Ltd England’ mark and with ‘The Biarritz, Royal Staffordshire, Great Britain’ with the registration design no. of ‘784849’ which dates the piece to 1933-34. There is also an impressed diamond mark.

The dish measures 26.5 cm (10 ½ inches) by 21cm (8 ¼ inches).
It weighs 625g.
~ Condition ~
There are some light scratches to the centre of the plate and a few marks to the paint-work but overall the plate is in a very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
