Third Reich SS German Helmet 1940 Stalhelm
A genuine untouched SS M40 helmet, with original liner but lacking chinstrap. Made by Eisenhuttenwerk Thale between Nov 1940 and August 1941. With the original Rough texture Grey Green paint. Exactly as issued by the factory, single decal (SS still very faintly identifiable) Brian Ices reference code:- SD SS ZSH RTGG ET-SS Size ET66 serial No 693. The ZSH means Zinc band with sheepskin liner which are both still present. These do not come along in this condition often and when they do they are an absolute treat to see.
*Condition*
In absolutely original and untouched condition with the patina that is entirely consistent with its age and purpose. There is uniform and pitting minor loss of paint, please examine the pictures. The decal is all but gone, wether this was an attempt to remove the SS at the end of the war or it may have just degraded over time? Either way it is completely correct.
