This M40 Helmet was produced at the Eisenhüttenwerk Thale factory and is an exceedingly rare item. Crafted during the World War 2 era, this particular helmet stands out due to its unique design and historical significance. The helmet features two distinct decals, one of which prominently displays the tricolor insignia, representing the colours of the pre-1919 German flag. This decal was not commonly used on M40 helmets and therefore, adds to the uniqueness of this artefact. The other decal displays the National Socialist Motor Corps (NSKK) logo – the parteiadler eagle and swastika.

This double decal Helmet is a very rare antique from World War II and relates to an incredibly important part of the Nazi party’s reign in Germany during the 1940s.
