These assessments evolved over time but typically comprised activities such as a 100-meter run, a 2000-meter endurance run, a 1000-meter field run, distance jumping, hand grenade throwing, rope climbing, and a 100-meter swim. The inclusion of swords symbolizes the military aspect, while the oak leaf wreath signifies victory. The badge was crafted by Frans Smits.
