~ 9ct Gold Ditis Geneve Manual Wristwatch c1939 ~
An elegant 9ct gold manual wristwatch by the Swiss watch company Ditis.
The watch has a rectangular cream dial with gold tone arabic numerals, an outer minutes ring and two gold tone hands.
there is a subsidiary seconds dial at the six o’clock position but unfortunately the hand is missing.
The dial is named ‘Ditis, Geneve’ and also reads ‘Non Magnetic’ and ‘Swiss Made’.
The watch has a 9ct gold case, marked as such to the left-hand edge of the case.
The case back is engraved with the initials ‘RRG (or E)’.
The interior of the case back is engraved ‘To Reg on his 21st Birthday From Mum & Dad’ with the date of ‘5.4.42’.
There are two serial numbers ‘99920’ and ‘41290’
There is the full hallmark for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1939 with the makers names ‘Denison’ and ‘ A.L.D’.
The watch has a 15 jewels manual movement named ‘DITIS, Geneve’ and also marked ‘Swiss Made’.
The watch comes on a vintage brown leather strap.

The dial measures 17mm x 21mm while the watch measures 22m across the bezel (23mm including crown).
The watch on strap has a length of 23cm (9 inches).
It weighs 27.2g.
~ Condition ~
The watch as mentioned is missing the small seconds hand from the subsidiary dial.
The dial itself is somewhat grubby but appears to show no damages.
The case has some wear, the odd tiny ding and a tiny split to one corner but nonetheless displays well on the wrist.
The strap is somewhat worn and coming apart at the seams.
The watch is in good working order.
