This is a gold plated, two register chronograph wristwatch by the American watch company Wakmann dating to circa 1970.
The watch features a clean yet dynamic dial layout, with contrasting subdials that allow for precise timekeeping, a hallmark of chronograph design. The dial feature two black sub dials and a date aperture at the six o’clock position.
The dial is named ‘Wakmann’ and reads 17 Jewels, Incablocc’ and ‘Swiss Made’.
The watch has a gold plated oval case with gold tone crown and two chrono timing buttons.
The case back, which is of plain stainless steel has serial numbers reading ’14 35′ and ‘592’.
The interior of the case back reads ‘Charles Gigandet, Base Metal Bezel, Swiss Made’
The watch has a 17 Jewel, manual wind movement with a ‘7734’ calibre and is named ‘Wakkman Watch Co. Swiss Made’.
The watch comes on a gold tone, stainless steel stretch bracelet.

The dial has a diameter of 30mm.
The bezel measures 36mm (39 inc. crown).
The bracelet has an inner diameter of 19cm (7 ½ inches).
The watch weighs 83.8g.
~ Condition ~
The crystal has a few small scratches and a tiny chip at the 11 o’clock position.
The case has a little wear in parts to the finish and most of the finish to the side buttons but still presents well.
The bracelet when stretched has a link near the case which stretches out more than it should as the tiny metal fixing is out of shape
and may need replacing (a very small and easy job for a jeweller).
The bracelet is otherwise in a decent condition.
The watch is in good working order with the chronograph elements working well and has a clean undamaged dial.

The Wakmann Watch Company was established in 1946 in New York, USA and quickly became one of the leading watch brands in
America, renowned for its reliable and quality timepieces.
In 1947 Wakmann, already a respected watch manufacturer became an authorized distributor of Breitling in the American market
after forming the ‘Breitling Watch Corporation of America’ with the renowned Swiss aviation timepiece manufacturer ‘Breitling
Watch Company’.
The company continues to be a strong competitor in the quality watch market to this day.
