~ Late 19th Century Childs Dolman And Pelisse ~
Here we have a very interesting set, a dolman and a pelisse made for a child.
This was something that was done often by high ranking officers with young children at home or if they took their families on campaign.
The dolman and pelisse is a staple of hussar regiments across Europe, this one though could most likely be French or British, and it looks to have been made in the late 19th century.
The dolman and pelisse are made of a soft cream coloured fabric with red accents at the collar and cuff with silver braid knots along the chest and at the sleeve.
~ Dimensions ~
The dolman is 20 inches
The dolman is 14 inches (20 cm) across the chest.
The dolman is 15 inches (38 m) from collar to tail.
The pelisse is 14 inches (35cm) on the outer arm.
The set weigh 300g
~ Condition ~
The set is in a good condition for its age with some minor discolouration and colour fading.
There is some sweat staining to the armpits.
