~ Givejoy Toys Skybirds 1/72nd Scale Aircraft Fokker D. VIII Made 1935/42 ~
The model was constructed from a Givejoy Toys 1/72nd scale aircraft kit, part of the Skybirds series, the kit was issued between 1935 and 1945.
The hand constructed and painted model was constructed by the original vendor as a boy (between July 1935 & January 1942).
The wooden model is extremely detailed.
Quite an amazing example of early model making.
~ Fokker D. VIII ~
The Fokker E.V was a German parasol-monoplane fighter aircraft designed by Reinhold Platz and built by Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. Dubbed the Flying Razor by Allied pilots, the D.VIII had the distinction of scoring the last aerial victory of the war.
~ Dimensions ~
The plane is 3 ½ inches (8.9 cm) with a wingspan of 4 9/16 inches (11.6 cm.) It is 1 9/16inches tall (4 cm) and weighs 9 grams.
~ Condition ~
The plane is in excellent condition.
