~ Givejoy Toys Skybirds 1/72nd Scale Aircraft Albatros D.V Green/Red Made 1935-42 ~
The model was constructed from a Givejoy Toys 1/72nd scale aircraft number 25A kit, part of the Skybirds series, the kit was issued between 1935 and 1945.
The hand constructed and painted model was constructed by the original vendor as a boy (between July 1935 & January 1942).
The wooden model is extremely detailed.
Quite an amazing example of early model making.
~ Albatros D.V ~
The Albatros D.V was a fighter aircraft used by the Luftstreitkräfte (Imperial German Air Service) during World War I. The D.V was the final development of the Albatros D.I family, and the last Albatros fighter to see operational service. Despite its well-known shortcomings and general obsolescence, approximately 900 D.V and 1,612 D.Va aircraft were built before production halted in early 1918. The D.Va continued in operational service until the end of the war.

The plane has a length of 4 inches (10 cm), a wingspan of 5 inches (13 cm) and a height of 1.75 inches (4.5 cm). It weighs 13 g.
~ Condition ~
The plane is in excellent condition with some paint crackling mainly to the underside of the wings.
