This rectangular shape die-pressed buckle plate has a raised design and depicts a Currasier helmet and breast plate.

We believe it to be a ‘Boucle de officer du Ge’nie’, Engineer officers buckle c1870-1914

The back of the plate reads ‘Cottiau’.
