~ Late 19th Century French Artillery Officers Cross Belt Pouch ~
A small cross belt pouch of patent black leather with a cast brass badge to the front. The badge is of the French Artillery, it depicts two cannons in saltire crowned by a flaming bomb.
The pouch fastens to the rear by a tab on the front flap. There are two compartments to the inside and two brass suspension rings, one to each sid,e fixed to the leather by decorative mounts.

The piece measures 6.5 inches (17cm) wide by 3.5 inches (9cm) tall. It is approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) deep.
~ Condition ~
The pouch is in good condition for its age. The patent leather has become a little dry with age with some small areas of flaking. The structure of the piece is decent.
