Made from bull horn, the vessel has a soft rope carrying handle and white metal (i.e. un-hallmarked silver) mounts with wire work.
The plaque reads…
“John McLaren A.O.F. Court Lady Norton
No. 5882
ALLOA”
along with a depiction of an archer shooting at a deer.

The A.O.F. is a benevolent friendly society.
