~ Victorian 18ct Yellow Gold Opal & Diamond Ring UK Size N US 6 ½ ~
A beautiful late Victorian ring of 18ct gold set with three round-cut opals and two round-cut diamonds.
The stones are claw-set alternately in a row to the front of the ring.
The band is of plain gold with some decoration to the shoulders.
The ring is hallmarked inside the band for 18ct gold, with the year date mark for 1895.
~ Dimensions ~
The central opal measures 0.15 carats (3mm diameter).
The other two opals measure 0.10 carats (2.5mm diameter) each.
The diamonds measure 0.07 carats (2 /2.5mm diameter) each.
The ring is a UK size N which is a US size 6 ½ (16.9mm inner diameter).
It weighs 2.7g.
~ Condition ~
The ring is in a very nice condition with minimal wear. The stones are free from damage. The diamonds have a nice sparkle and the
opals a nice colour and fire.
The hallmark has been stamped a little close to the edge of the band causing a small nick, but this shouldn't cause any real bother.
