This is a famous Lord Bury telescope and strap made by J H Steward, London in the 19th century. The manufacturers details are both on an external brass plaque on the leather grip (“The Lord Bury Telescope, Sole manufacturer J.H. Steward 406-66 Strand, 54 Cornhill, London. No 2506”).
*Conditions*
Optically, the telescope is in very good condition. The leather is well worn but still in good condition. The removable lens cover and strap do also show its age. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
