This delightful group depicts a courting couple resting under an arbour archway with a ring of flowers at their feet and on her lap.
The piece has many fine hand painted details including their attractive faces and detailed clothing with gilt highlights. The arbour is decorated with floral patterns and a dove for love either side.
We would date it to around 1870.

The figurine measures 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) tall by 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide and 2 inches (5.1 cm) deep. It weighs 350 g.
~ Condition ~
The piece is in very good complete condition without chips. The gilt and glaze has an acceptable level of wear as does the underside rim from standing.
There is a hairline firing crack to the front which extends from the right side of the floral ring down to the base and across too.
