~ 19th Century Tavern Scene Staffordshire Frog Mug #2 ~

The single handled mug is of cylindrical form, the front and back are decorated with relief molding of three seated gentlemen drinking in polychrome.

It has 3 glazed brick red bands with further flourishes to the handle and the interior has an applied molded frog which gurgles when drunk from.

~ Dimensions ~

The mug has a diameter of 4.75 inches (12 cm) andit is 5 inches (12.5 cm) tall. The width including handle is 6.25 inches (16 cm) and it weighs 768 grams.

~ Condition ~

The mug is in excellent condition for its age. The glaze has light crazing and there is standing wear to the underside. It is free from chips and cracks.
