20th Century US Navigational Sextant

This is a 20^th Century sextant from the United States. The sextant is an instrument for determining the angle between the horizon and a celestial body such as the Sun, Moon, or star. It was used in celestial navigation to determine latitude and longitude. The device consists of an arc of a circle, marked off in degrees, and a movable radial arm pivoted at the centre of the circle.

~Condition~

This sextant is in great condition with all parts working smoothly. There are very few minor knocks and marks. The box has some original labels though most of one has been removed. Please see pictures for more detail.
