A superb quality Elizabeth II period ‘Royal Navy and Merchant Services naval crown brooch in 9ct gold.
The brooch features a 9 carat yellow gold Naval crown formed of alternate ships' sterns and sails, set with seed pearls. It is set with 16 small pearls of different sizes applied to a slender bar, (2 larger pearls, 3 medium sized and 9 small and 2 tiny). It is complete with original pin fitting with safety roller catch. The brooch is hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1952 and maker’s mark of ‘J.W.B’ for J W Benson Ltd London.

The brooch measures 5.2cm in length, crown measures 1.9cm at its longest point and 7mm at its widest.
