~ Boxed Corgi Toys No. 492 VW European Police Car 1966-69 ~
The ‘Polizei’ Volkswagen European Police Car produced by Corgi between 1966 and 1969.
This variant is green and white with a blue roof light and spun hubs. It has ‘Polizei’ decals to each side.
The models features include: True scale steering by steering wheel control, opening boot and bonnet, detailed engine and seats, jewelled headlights and sprung suspension.
To the underside the model is stamped ‘Corgi Toys, Volkswagen 1200 Saloon, PAT. APR. 48472/63, Made in Gt. Britain’.
The model comes in its original blue and yellow carded picture box.

The car measures 3 ½ inches (9cm) by 1 ½ inches (4cm) by 1 ¾ inches (4.5cm).
The box measures 4 inches (10cm) by 1 ½ inches (4cm) by 1 ¾ inches (4.5cm).
Together they weigh 99g.
~ Condition ~
The car is in a very nice condition. There are some minor marks and the roof light has lost most of its blue paint.
The box has a hole to one side, a small tear and some dirty marks but is in good, sound condition. All tabs are present.
