*British, Highlander HAT013 Green Wool Beret Cap, Size S, Leather Band*
A modern commercial military-style beret by Highlander, model HAT013. Constructed from 100% wool with a cotton-lined interior, this example follows the classic British “commando” style with a relatively compact crown.
The beret retains its internal label reading:
“100% WOOL / BERET CAP / HAT 13 / MADE IN INDIA / DRY CLEAN ONLY / SIZE S.”
It features a black leather headband with internal drawstring adjustment, allowing for minor size tuning. Typical of Highlander production, these were widely retailed through surplus and outdoor suppliers as affordable, practical alternatives to issue berets.
Approximate fit corresponds to a Small, generally around 54–55cm head circumference.
History Note:
Highlander berets such as the HAT013 are commercially produced items rather than military issue, but are widely used by cadet forces, reenactors, and for general outdoor wear. Their design closely follows British Army beret patterns, including the leather band and drawcord system, making them a popular and practical substitute for service examples.

Good clean condition overall. Medium handling wear consistent with use, some bobbling but no significant damage noted. Shape remains sound.
