~ c1800 Fine Quality Parquetry Striking Bracket Clock ~
This stunning parquetry inlay mahogany case has a curved top surmounted by a cast gilt brass pineapple finial with four gilt corner fittings.
The finely engraved silvered one piece dial has a "Strike/Silent" switch. The clock face itself, has Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numbers for the minutes in increments of 5.
The dial has floral decorations including daffodils to the four corners and swags.
Interestingly the makers name has been omitted, probably at the original purchasers request.
The clock has a double fusee, eight day movement with anchor escapement, gong strike and pendulum hold fast.
The side windows are fitted with a lattice.
It rests on four gilt brass bracket feet.

The clock has a height of 22 inches (56 cm), a width of 12 inches (30.5 cm) and a depth of 9 inches (23 cm). It weighs 9.48 kg.
~ Condition~
The clock is in generally excellent condition. There are a couple of cracks to the front left corner of the dome. It has recently been serviced and is in good working order.
