A nice pair of Chinese carved tortoises in a light grey-green nephrite jade.

The tortoise was the symbol for the secrets of heaven and earth.

They date to the Qing dynasty (1644-1912), possibly earlier.

~ Dimensions ~

Each tortoise measures 4.5 cm (1 ¾ inches) by 4.5 cm (1 ¾ inches).

They weigh 175 g.

~ Condition ~

Both pieces are in very nice condition with no damage.
