An absolutely beautiful and rare Georgian era (circa 1765) cameo ring surrounded with rough-cut diamonds.

The ring features a blue glass cameo centre, reverse carved with the traditional profile image of a lady.

This is mounted in a thin gold frame.

There are fifteen (15) rough-cut diamonds mounted in a white metal (most likely platinum) around the cameo.

The mount is backed in 18ct gold upon a slim plain 18ct gold band with split shoulders.

~ Dimensions ~

The cameo measures 9mm x 16mm.

The diamonds being rough-cut vary in size from approximately 0.03 – 0.10 carats (between 2-4mm).

The ring is a UK size N which is a US size 6 ½ (16.9mm inner diameter).

The ring weighs 7.1g.

~ Condition ~

A couple of the diamonds are unfortunately missing.

The glass cameo is in a very nice condition with only a couple of superficial marks, only really visible upon very close inspection.

The ring is in a really nice condition for its age and truly is a beautiful piece.
