~ Circa 1910 Pair Of Slater Royal Doulton Stoneware Jugs ~
This is a splendid pair of beautifully decorated Royal Doulton jugs with a sea green mottled upper rim & handle and a gilt & turquoise over beige lower portion. The upper and lower rims are a chesnut brown.
The Royal Doulton backstamps are for the 1901-1927 period, along with the serial number ‘8488’, the maker’s signature ‘BW’ (?) and ‘UBW’ stamp.
~ Dimensions ~
Both jugs have a height of 8 inches (20.4 cm) and a base diameter of 3.2 inches (8.3 cm).
The set weighs 1.64 kg.
~ Condition ~
The vases are chip free. One has a couple of firing cracks – one on the inside and one on the underside – these are to the surface only and do not pass all the way through.
