~ Circa 1938/9 Lineol Model No.1230 Flak 36 88mm Anti Aircraft Gun Tin Plate Model ~
A superb tin plate model of an anti-aircraft gun (based on the Second World War era German anti-aircraft gun) by the German toy manufacturers
‘Lineol’.
This is the larger version.
The model has a fully elevating & transversing gun with cap firing mechanism, mounted on a cruciform base with folding side arms.
It is mounted upon two detachable travelling bogeys. The bogeys have black treaded rubber tyres marked ‘LINEOL’ and feature the first version pre-war
screw & wheel locking devices.
The model is finished in the pre-war, tri-colour camouflage pattern.
The model comes with three composite German soldier figures, each marked to the underside ‘Lineol, Germany’.
~ Dimensions ~
The gun has a barrel length of 10 inches (26cm).
The model has a total length of 16 inches (41cm) a width of 5 inches (14cm) and a height of 5 inches (13cm).
It weighs 1.110 Kg.
~ Condition ~
Some of the cog mechanisms are a little worn, but will engage with a little care (two are missing handles). The cap mechanism has a loose piece and
there is a chip to the edge. There is a little wear to the paint work but overall the model is in very nice condition. The figures are in quite good condition,
with some general wear. One has a repair to the neck.
