The main characteristic of these spear heads is their longer fullers, filling the larger part of the blade. These are probably a development of earlier Celtic types, but are more commonly found in the Midlands and East Anglia.
These heads are usually around 10″ – 16″ (25cm – 45cm) in length, with the cleft sockets accounting for one-third to half the total length. They generally date to the fifth and sixth centuries.
The short head is the Type K2.
These broad, leaf shaped blades have a stepped section and continue a tradition found in both Germanic and Celtic spearheads. Conical ferrules are often associated with this type of spear. They vary from 6″ – 12″ (15cm – 30cm) in length with the socket accounting for almost half the total length. These heads date to the fifth and early sixth centuries and are generally found only in the Midlands.
The spear heads come in a red fabric lined wooden glazed case.

The box is 19.68 inches (50 cm) wide, 10 inches (25.5 cm) tall and 1.37 inches (3.5 cm) deep.
The long spearhead length is 15.74 inches (40 cm) and the short one length is 10.62 inches (27 cm).
It weighs 1.38 kg.
~ Condition ~
The spear heads are in fair excavated condition for their age. The long one is more rusty and degraded than the other one.
The cased is in good condition with some missing screws at the back.
