A charming early 20th century inkwell in the form of a firemans helmet, complete with comb, chin-strap and badge.

The helmet is of brass while the base is mostly white metal (tin?).

The helmet lifts to reveal an inkwell.

~ Dimensions ~

The piece measures 6.5cm (2 ½ inches) wide, 9cm (3 ½ inches) front to back and 7cm (2 ¾ inches) in height.

It weighs 146g.

~ Condition ~

There is some compaction to the base, some wear to the finish throughout and the badge has been glued on (not proffesionally).

The piece has seen good use, but is still retains its charm.

It is missing its liner.
