Magnificent English c1880 3 Train Westminster Chimes & Striking 8 Day Mahogany Longcase Clock.

The clock is in the George III taste, the roundel states 'Gibson of Newcastle' as the maker.

The fretwork hood is surmounted by a brass eagle and ball finials.

The mahogany flame veneer case sits upon bracket feet.

The brass arched dial has Roman and Arabic numerals.

The clock chimes on the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full hour and it strikes on the hour on a double gong.

The maximum width is 1 foot 9.5 inches (54cm).
The maximum depth is 11 inches (28cm).
The dial is 13 inches (33cm) in diameter.
