~ Fine Victorian Silver Plated James Deakin & Sons Inkstand With Twin Inkwells With Eagle Centrepiece ~
The piece is surmounted with an eagle on rock work, engraved with leaves. It is fitted with two square glass inkwells and an X-shaped pen rest and is raised on winged beast mask feet. The underside is stamped with the makers mark and a pattern number of 47254.
~ Condition ~
The stand in good order, there is some loss of silver plate. One of the bottles has a small flea bite chip. The lids are a little out of alignment.
~ Dimensions ~
The inkstand is 26 cm (10.25 inches) wide, 15 cm (6 inches) deep and 15 cm (6 inches) tall.
