~ Framed Watercolour Of Ophir Departing Portsmouth 1901 By Colin Baxter ~

This fine watercolour on paper by Colin M. Baxter (British, Master Mariner, born 1963) depicts the Victorian paddlesteamer Ophir departing Portsmouth Harbour lead by HMS Alberta on the 16th of March 1901 . It is signed to the lower left. The painting is well presented in a wooden frame which is glazed and has double lined mounts.
