An antique Georgian period turned bone apple corer, circa 1800.
The piece, made of of cow bone, is attractively carved and well constructed with concentric banding decoration. The corer screws into the handle for ease of carriage, revealing the handle to be hollow.

The corer has a length of 5 inches (12.7cm). It weighs 12g.
~ Condition ~
The cow bone has a few light shrinkage hairlines and a small crack towards the top edge, but remains in otherwise excellent order.
