In 1843 Julius Pintsch founded a plumber’s workshop for gas installations in a basement room in Berlin. In 1924 Berlin-Anhaltische Maschinenbau AG (B.A.M.A.G.) merged with Franz Megiun AG to form Bamag Meguin AG. In 1927 Julius Pintsch AG acquired 60% of the shares in Bamag Meguin AG. In 1947 the Dinslaken facility was established.
