*German, WW2 - c.1943, Böhmische Waffenfabrik CZ Model 27 Semi-Automatic Pistol, Serial No. 197501, WaA76, EU/UK Deactivated*

An original Second World War Czech CZ Model 27 semi-automatic pistol manufactured by Böhmische Waffenfabrik A.G. in Prague during the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. Chambered in 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP), the pistol retains the correct wartime slide legend “Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7.65” together with the full top strap manufacturer marking “BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G. IN PRAG” and serial number 197501. The serial number remains deeply and crisply struck with even surrounding wear fully consistent with original wartime factory application.

The pistol bears the correct German military Waffenamt WaA76 inspection and acceptance stamp associated with wartime occupation production at the Prague factory, together with additional small inspection and proof markings. The WaA76 stamp remains sharp and well-defined with correct wartime eagle geometry and natural age-consistent wear to the surrounding metal surface.

The slide legends display the correct wartime font style, spacing, and roll-stamped depth expected of mid-war CZ27 production. Original factory machining and milling marks remain visible across both slide and frame surfaces, confirming the pistol retains its original factory contours and has not been heavily polished or refinished post-war. The vertical slide serrations remain sharp with minimal flattening or handling damage, while the surviving military blue finish displays honest wartime wear, thinning, and natural age patina throughout.

The pistol retains its original black chequered bakelite grip panels featuring the less commonly encountered “M” over “BP” star roundel motif rather than the standard ČZ logo, generally associated with wartime subcontract or occupation-period variant production. The grips remain well preserved with crisp moulded detail and no significant cracks or losses. The straw-coloured trigger retains much of its original finish, while the original lanyard ring remains fitted to the butt. The pistol is accompanied by its detachable unmarked magazine.

Approx. Measurements – Barrel length: 4 inches.

History Note:
The CZ Model 27 evolved from earlier pre-war Czech self-loading pistol designs and became one of the principal handguns manufactured under German occupation following the annexation of Czechoslovakia in 1939. Production continued at the Prague factory under German military administration as Böhmische Waffenfabrik A.G., with pistols issued extensively to German police formations, Luftwaffe personnel, occupation troops, railway security units, and other rear-echelon organisations throughout occupied Europe.

This specific pistol can be dated to approximately mid-1943 production through its serial number, wartime factory markings, and WaA76 military acceptance stamp. During German occupation manufacture, Böhmische Waffenfabrik used a continuous sequential serial number system rather than applying production dates, with serial number 197501 falling squarely within the known 1943 production range.

The pistol retains the correct full wartime factory legend “BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G. IN PRAG” together with the “Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7.65” slide marking associated with mid-war production examples, prior to the later adoption of simplified coded “fnh” markings. The crisp WaA76 Waffenamt inspection stamp further confirms German military acceptance at the Prague factory and remains entirely consistent with the pistol’s higher-quality wartime blue finish and machining characteristics before later-war production simplifications became common.

*Condition*
The pistol remains in good original condition displaying honest wartime wear and handling marks throughout. Much of the original blued finish survives with expected edge wear, thinning, and light surface oxidation consistent with age and service use. The slide legends, serial numbers, and Waffenamt acceptance marks remain sharp and legible. Original factory machining marks remain visible across the metal surfaces, confirming the pistol has not been excessively buffed or refinished. The bakelite grips remain structurally sound with crisp moulded detail and only minor handling wear. The slide and trigger move freely under spring tension, however in accordance with current EU/UK deactivation standards the pistol does not cock or dry fire. The magazine removes correctly. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.

Deactivation Certificate Details:
Deactivated to current EU/UK specification standards with accompanying Birmingham Gun Barrel Proof House certificate numbered 191622 and dated 19/01/2026. The certificate records the pistol as a C.Z semi-automatic pistol in calibre 7.65mm with serial number 197501 and 4-inch barrel length. The frame additionally bears modern EU/GB deactivation inspection markings in accordance with current legislation.
