The model was constructed from a Givejoy Toys 1/72nd scale aircraft kit, part of the Skybirds series, the kit was issued between 1935 and 1945.
The hand constructed and painted model was constructed by the original vendor as a boy (between July 1935 & January 1942).
The wooden model is extremely detailed.
The set is complete with the original instructions and profiles.
Quite an amazing example of early model making.
~ Messerschmitt Me. 109 / Bf 109 ~
The Messerschmitt Bf 109, mistakenly called the Me 109 by the allies, was a German aircraft designed by Willy Messerschmitt and Robert Lusser. It was in use by the Luftwaffe from 1937 until 1945. It has the distinction of being the most produced aircraft in history.
~ Dimensions ~
The plane is 5 5/8 inches (14.3 cm) long with a 5 1/2 inch(14 cm) wingspan. It is 2 1/2 inches (5.7 cm) tall and weighs 31 grams.
~ Condition ~
The plane is in excellent condition.
